Spanish GTA Modern Languages & Literatures

Josefa Samper Suárez (Colombia) is a Ph.D. candidate in the Modern Language and Literatures Department with a specialization in Spanish and a minor in Education. Her research focuses on the study of the ethnolinguistic vitality of the Spanish language in Lincoln, Nebraska. Specifically, it centers on the linguistic attitudes towards the use of the Spanish language in the city, as well as the motivations that some Spanish speakers have for using or not using the language.
