French GTA Modern Languages & Literatures

Ryan Schmid, French MA Graduate Teaching Assistant, is from Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from UNL in 2020 majoring in computer science and classical languages and minoring in math and French. While at UNL he also played lacrosse for the Nebraska men's lacrosse team. His interests include linguistics, lacrosse, coding and board games. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in French Literature, and  enjoys not only the literature of the language but also examining its syntax and how it has evolved from the original Latin. In the past he hosted a linguistics table where graduate and undergraduate students could discuss linguistics and the languages they were studying, as well as subjects such as pedagogy, etc.
