Four Spanish PhD students were selected to present at the 2020 Latin American Studies Association's annual Congress, scheduled for May 13-16, 2020. The theme for this year's Congress was "Améfrica Ladina: vinculando mundos y saberes, tejiendo esperanzas". The four students selected were Lara Armenteros Garrido, Montserrat Fuente Camacho, Elliott Jacobson, and Luz Stella Valencia, who were chosen for a panel presentation on "Identidades vulnerables: Redefiniendo la discapacidad, el género y la raza en Améfrica Ladina" [Vulnerable identities: Redefining disability, gender and race in Améfrica Ladina].
