Hana Waisserova, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Practice of Czech Studies and an Affiliate of the Harris Centre for Judaic Studies at UNL, Nebraska. Currently she teaches courses on Czech language, culture and literature; Czech society and culture via film; Women Totalitarian Experience (CZEC/JUDS/GLST); Czech History and Culture (HIST) and The Heart of Europe: History and Culture (EA summer program). Previously, she was teaching Anglophone and Transnational literature and culture, Gender and Central and Eastern European Studies at AAU, Prague. She lectured at Delhi University, India, and TAMU, Texas. She has travelled widely in Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America, and is much invested in promoting cultural sensitivity and global citizenship.
