Faculty members of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures are encouraged to recommend rising college seniors, recent graduates, or graduate students to apply for the 2021-2022 Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Fulbright is the premiere United States program to support students to conduct research, obtain a Master’s degree, or to teach English abroad. Competitive candidates will have a strong language background and will have “internationalized” their education while at UNL by studying abroad or engaging with our international community both on campus and/or in the Lincoln community.

UNL has a strong relationship with the Fulbright Program, placing nine students last year alone. Summer is the perfect time to work on applications for this life-changing experience.

If you know of any students who are interested in the 2021-2022 Fulbright U.S. Student Program, please have them set up a meeting with Laura Damuth, via email (ldamuth1@unl.edu) or Student Success Hub. The application deadline is September 4, 2020.
