Research & Innovation
Kawasaki Reading Room
UNL’s Kawasaki Reading Room is a unique center for Japanese studies, which acts as a bridge between Lincoln’s Japanese and international communities by facilitating language learning and cultural understanding.
The Modern Languages Laboratory is a student resource that features iPads and other technology to facilitate group work, global communication via Skype, and immersive learning through international music and news.
Spanish Tutoring Center
The center works with students to help them become better communicators in the Spanish language, with a focus on writing. The center aims to develop the students' analytical and critical skills through essay writing, while uniting students and instructors in an engaging learning community. The center meets in the Language Resource Room, 1126 Oldfather Hall, Mondays from 2:30-4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 2:30-4 p.m. The center was made possible through a grant from UNL’s Office of Academic Affairs.
Interpretation, Translation & Tutoring
Students and community members can access information on those providing translation and interpretation on our website. We also have lists of available tutors. Many langauges are represented, even those we do not teach at UNL.
The Department of Modern Langauges & Literatures does not provide certification services, nor can we relay information on rates. Please contact directly for this information.
